Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy uses whole and organic foods to nourish the body to obtain your optimal health. When it comes to preconception, pregnancy and postnatal care it is essential for your body to have the optimal nutrient balance to nourish your body and that of your developing baby. At Whole Parent Collective we offer one-to-one nutrition consultations for both parent and baby and can help with disease prevention and to alleviate the symptoms of a variety of ailments. So what exactly can nutritional therapy help with? Here are just a few examples:

Prior to the consultation you will be asked to fill in a small health questionnaire regarding the symptoms or conditions you wish to address. The consultation lasts up to 1.5 hours as we will review your previous and current health status, review your food diary, any medications and supplements you may be taking and discuss your lifestyle. By the end of the consultation we will achieve an individual plan with realistic goals for you or your baby to ensure you are both happy and healthy. Your follow up consultation will typically last 40 minutes. We will review your progress, see if any new symptoms have arisen, address any challenges you may have experienced and make improvements based on the initial plan.

Menu Planning

Our Menu Planning service is designed to ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need during pre-conception and pregnancy. It can be a challenge to think up healthy meals that both you and your family can enjoy. A Menu Plan will take that stress away and you will feel reassured that your body is getting what it needs at this crucial time.

 

Dietary requirements, likes, dislikes, time, cooking skill level and cost are all taken into consideration and after we understand your requirements we can produce a weekly or monthly meal plan including recipe ideas and snack suggestions.

Workshops & Events

I create and deliver a wide range of nutritional workshops including topics such as:

  • Weaning
  • Boosting Immunity
  • Child Nutrition
  • Improving and Maintaining Energy
  • General Health and More…

I also participate in guest speaking at schools and events surrounding a variety of nutrition topics.

Pre & Post-Natal Personal Training

At Whole Parent Collective we offer one-to-one personal training sessions for both expectant and new mothers. There are many benefits of exercise if done safely and under the supervision of a qualified trainer, that’s where we come in. It is important to have a training program that is designed for you based on information about your pregnancy such as the trimester you are in, your fitness levels and medical history. We will help you to reach your goals safe in the knowledge that you and your baby are in the best possible hands. And it isn’t just about looking good. Expectant mothers can benefit from easier and shorter labours, faster post-natal recovery, reduction in labour pains, improved circulation, offset postural imbalances and reduce maternal weight gain.

We offer personal training sessions at the Verulam Clinic, outdoors or in the comfort of your own home.
